Carousel Costume

This is 3 year old Clara in her homemade carousel costume. She came up with the idea on her own and “supervised” the entire project :)! We made the base of the carousel out of cardboard with tin foil and beaded mirrors. Then I sewed a tent dress with suspenders to hold it up from her shoulders. Paper horses are glued onto striped straws. We added some fringe and a pretty hat! And of course, lights... for some magic! She was thrilled with it...and with all the attention she got from everyone who saw her! ;)
