Homer Simpson Costume

I am a huge fan of making halloween costumes. This year is no exception. I had been wanting to make a Homer Simpson costume for ages because I loved the Simpsons growing up and it has been in our culture for years.

The costume is entirely hand made. I made the head using cardboard, foam and fabric. The eyes are a 4" styrefoam ball cut in half and glued to the head. The hair was made out of black pipe cleaners. I had ran out of time and glue gunned the fabric into arms and 4 fingered gloves. I bought a water pitcher at the Dollar Store and printed the DUFF beer logo in color at work. The "Mr. Plow" logo was made with simly applying red tape to an old jacket of mine. Finally, the arms and stomach were stuff with Quilt stuffing, allowing myself to wear a size 40 jeans when I am really a size 29.
