Cat o' Lantern Costume

This is my son Remington! He wanted to be a pumpkin... and I wanted to try paper mâché! I had never worked with it before- I used a ball to make the shape.. Old newspapers I had lying around and homemade flour glue. I painted it with acrylic craft paint and sealed it with modge podge! When picking out his clothes for underneath I thought how cute it would be for him to be a cat! So we went with it! And when I painted the happy face - he had the great idea to make a mean face on the other side! My son was super excited! He loves to wear it!
