A word from Elizabeth, the 'Cinderella' costume creator:
Hi! This is me in the costume I made myself this year for halloween. If you couldn't tell, I'm Cinderella. I was inspired when I had just bought myself the Cinderella movie and was online shopping when I found a blue corset from fredericks hollywood on sale for 50% off. I made the tutu myself by looking at tutorials on pinterest. The tutu cost about 6 dollars to make. I bought extra white tulle, scrunched them together, and sewed it onto the corset for the sleeves. I took some more tulle and literally just stuffed it onto the sides of my tutu to make the little poofs. Sorry that my explanation is bad. Kind of hard to explain lol. Anyway, my friend gave me a regular, split in the middle, blonde wig that I parted to the side. I put the back up in a bun and twisted the bangs up and pinned it. I added a ribbon to make the wig less beehive looking and I also made the necklace with the same piece of ribbon for 10 cents and sewed on a pretty button I found. I borrowed my shoes from my sister. Any silver shoes could have worked. Threw on some pearl earrings and was off to find my prince charming! All in all, the costume cost about 12 dollars minus the corset because I could always wear it again which I got for 30 bucks with the sale. Not too shabby for my first time making my costume.
