Cindy Lou Who Costume

Every year I dress up my daughter and our family dog. I try and pick a theme that they both can have great costumes. This year we picked Cindy Lou Who and Max the dog from the Grinch. Emma's costume was all home made. I found most of the materials from a thrift store. I made the headpiece out of cup and saucer and a doily that my mom made (all hot glued together) I then melted a yellow wax candle and poured it in the cup. Before it cooled I added the candy cane. I put two hair clips underneath so it hang on to a lot of hair so it wouldn't fall off. Her outfit is a mix of clothes articles. She's wearing a black body suit and a dress. Red tights and a Santa hood. Her boots are her normal winter boots rolled down. I made a little basket of Christmas goodies so she had something to hang onto. We were lucky to get snow the night before so it worked out perfect for our scene.
