Circus Ring Master & Lion Costume

My 3 year old son is the Circus Ring Master. Sort of ironic now that I think of it. Some days he seems to run the "show". His costume was made from a deluxe pirate pattern. We looked at adult photos of circus costumes to get the ideas and placement of the embellishments. His hat his adult size. We just changed out the ribbon. His sequin vest is actually a prom dress re purposed.

My 5 month old son is the lion. We made it straight from a lion pattern purchased at the fabric store. The only modification was the addition of the fur as a mane. The pattern included a pattern for felt strips to make up the mane.
