The Thing from Fantastic Four Costume

My 10 year old son is wearing this costume. He wanted to be The Thing from Fantastic Four, so I created this on my own using upholstery foam, craft foam and paint. I built the chest piece and muscles out of upholstery foam and cut craft foam sheets into the rock shapes and glued them on with contact cement. The feet are rain boots covered in upholstery foam shaped into feet using an electric carving knife and covered in craft foam "rocks". The head is an old costume helmet and mask covered in the same "rocks" and the hands are mickey mouse gloves covered in the same "rocks". All pieces were sprayed painted with plastic-dip paint first, then the orange spray paint, then hand-painted brown accents with acrylic paint. Not sure of the total cost, but probably around $100 on all of the craft and hardware supplies and about 50-60 hours of work.
