Concrete Angel Costume

Here is Ellie King in her ‘Concrete Angel’ costume. She played the part very well, and was SUPER CREEPY. I hand painted EVERYTHING... (blending greys and blacks). The wings are made from foam board, and the feathers were individually cut out and glued from poster board. I purchased a cheap dress, (once was light blue) cut off all the lace, spray painted the dress to cover the light blue with grey paint, it also made the material stiff. I then hand painted the dress, to give it a concrete look. Ellie is wearing gloves that were also painted. I actually glued fake nails on them to make them look more realistic. The wig was very easy. I bought a child’s wig and also painted it, I thought it needed a headband so I took a piece of material from the dress and glued it on. The final touch was the black bird wired on her dress. The costume turned out perfect!
