This homemade costume for babies entered our 2012 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Jennifer, the 'GIZMO' costume creator:
Well i have always been a big Gremlins fan and it was one of my favorite movies as a kid. One day I was searching online for a SINGING GIZMO because I thought it was adorable and i have always wanted one. I really pride myself on originality and my son needed a costume for Halloween. He was only 10 months old and it was his 1st Halloween so I wanted it to be memorable and BAM! It hit me, he was about to become little GIZMO!
His Grandmother and I worked on it for a week. We started with a plain brown sweat suit with hood size 2yrs (Zipper front of course) bought the two types or fur (brown and white) and I am not sure what the ears were made from it was a fexible foamy material and we didn't, but you can always draw in the veins that GIZMO has on his ears if you want to. We basically sewed everything on because material glue was just messy and took forever to dry. (the hood was a little big but you can always pin or cut and sew that to your liking) We also drew GIZMO's feet on the bottom of his shoes and colored in the surrounding with black to add a little more effect and since he still wasn't really wanking we didn't have to worry about the drawing wearing off. It was alot od fun and everyone just loved it!
He loved it and i hope you do too!
