Evel Knievel Baby Costume

My son Henry, almost 5 months old at the time, dressed as Evel Knievel. I just used blue fabric, iron on stars and letters, and red bias tape to make the major decorations from the classic Evel jumpsuit. I put the pieces on fusible webbing and ironed them onto a plain onesie and a white pair of baby girl leggings. I cut the leggings at the bottom to make room for the trademark flares. The "helmet" I knit from a pattern I found online, and I cut up an American flag iron-on into a number one shape.
