A word from Sylvia, the 'E.T. and Elliot' costume creator:
This is my husband, Jeff, and my daughter, Anna (12 months.) Anna is not walking yet, so we wanted to think of something where she could be "worn." We thought of E.T. and Elliot in the famous bicycle scene. Jeff cut two pieces of electrical conduit and glued grips to them to make the bike handles. We cut the back and bottom of a crate, and glued the handles on each side. We used a bungee cord around his neck to keep the crate in place. I bought a used monkey costume from ebay, glued cardboard eyes to the ears, and hot glued a felt heart to the chest. We used our bjorn carrier to keep Anna in place on Jeff's chest and in the crate.
