A word from Jennifer, the 'Little Shop of Horrors' costume creator:
Little Shop of Horrors is one of my favorite movies and I always thought my kid looked a lot like Rick Moranis so I created him this Audrey II costume. I used a large foam egg which I cut a hole in the back of for his hand, covered it with silicon caulking then attached the two halves with hot glue and velcro straps. I then used the silicon to make the lips and hot glue to make the veins on the top of her head. I used a lot of different green, yellow, purple colors to paint her then put two finger hooks, one on top of her mouth, one on the bottom side for his fingers. I made a fabric wall to cover the hooks. Inside her mouth I glued teeth and a tongue. I sewed green fabric together and glued on her stem. I took a pot and filled it with spray foam, stuck in the bottom of her stem and waited to dry. I then painted it brown. His shirt just needed a hole cut at the elbow and a fake hand which I Velcro to the pot. You need to wear a black shirt in order to hide your third arm which is working the puppet. Oh, we got a lot of positive reactions, this is not something you normally see in a store so people where thrilled to see such a classic horror movie come to life. I make a lot of costumes but this one was special to me because It put our special needs son in the spotlight this Halloween when usually his older brother wins all of the Halloween awards. Suddenly Seymour gave this boy a tremendous vote of confidence
