This homemade costume for families entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Kim, the 'Monopoly' costume creator:
We wanted to do something current. Monopoly had a vote this year to bring on a new token. This means they had to also vote a token out. The winner ended up being a cat. The loser was the iron. My kids and I decided to be the retired iron, the new cat, the monopoly board and Mr Monopoly/ Mr Moneybags.
It ended up being a lot more work than we imagined. We had a lot of fun entering into a local parade....only problem was I forgot to make myself suspenders! Had to fold the iron the whole way!
