Mr. Peanut Costume

I mad the Mr. Peanut costume for my son, Joshua. I started with a sheet of foam that I measure around my son. I then shaped the foam by taking out pieces and sewing it. After I had the shape I wanted, I covered the foam form using hot glue and felt. Next I covered the seams with felt strips which helped to give the peanut its texture. Next I added a face made from stiff felt. I then made Mr. Peanuts top hat from cardboard and posterboard covered with black felt. I put a sheer piece of black material in the front of the top hat so my son can see out, but you cannot see him. Finally we put the Mr. Peanut felt letters on the hat.
