This homemade costume for babies entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Leigh, the 'Wizard of Oz' costume creator:
My daughter Ava (10 months)is Dorothy. I sewed her dress from a Simplicity pattern and purchased her ruby red slippers. Riley, our 14 year old Golden Retriever, is the scarecrow (I purchased her outfit). Bearito, our 12 year old Silky Terrier, is the cowardly lion. I sewed his costume from a pattern a few years ago. And the Silky Terrier puppy is Toto. I made a blue and white bow for his neck and the blanket to go in the basket.
