A word from Shawna, the 'Akasha Queen of the Damned' costume creator:
I am wearing AKASHA - Queen of the Damned .
This was REALLY REALLY hard work (mostly on the crown and necklace). I molded the bra cups out of crayola clay (found at Michael's Craft Store) and shaped it as closely to the real thing as I could (wore it twice and ended up breaking a piece off the tip :-( ) Then I hand painted purple and gold onto the cups. I attached them to my skin using SPIRIT GUM (YES they stayed on ALLLL night , even when I got hot).
The BRACELETS- I bought the large bracelets off of ebay and painted them and added rhinestones on top.
The NECKLACE- I bought alot of little weird pieces to the necklace from a trim store that had rhinestones, beads, etc. I used a hot glue gun and wire to connect everything.
The CROWN- Oh boy, this was the difficult part, I bought sheets of metal, cut them and bent them down the middle and constructed the crown out of that and wires and cold shaped pieces ,I painted them all gold & attached the pieces w/ a glue gun and molded the middle piece hanging from the crown out of clay and decorated it.
I made the rest of the costume out of sheer fabric, sequin fabric and more.
I got realistic vamp teeth from vampfangs.com.
Decided not to do contacts because my eyes just do NOT like them.
I'd say I spent about $150 on all the supplies (including shoes)
