Cabbage Patch Doll Costume

This is my daughter, Jemma, in her Cabbage Patch Doll costume. A photo of a crochet cabbage patch hat came across my news feed earlier in the year & I just thought it was adorable! Then the closer Halloween came, I searched online for baby costumes & this original costume took the cake! So first ordered the same hat I'd shared on Facebook from Amanda at The Lillie Pad on Etsy. She was great! Next I hit up Etsy again for vintage 80's outfits & finally found the perfect top from Denim Angels & paired it with a set of eyelet bloomers. I added tights (to keep warm), eyelet socks, & white old school high top sneakers to complete the outfit!

Our next battle was creating the doll box! My husband did all the structure work & I pretty much finished it up with the cosmetics. We purchased a yellow display board at Office Max & he cut & scaled it down to fit on an umbrella stroller then cut out the display window. He then lined the window with green duct tape. Green fabric from Hobby Lobby was then hot glued into the inside of the box & draped over the seat. Lastly, I printed out the CP logo, added vinyl stickers, & flower stickers from Hobby Lobby.

Jemma's costume was a huge hit & we had so much fun putting it together! She was an absolute doll & we are so very proud to call her ours!
