This homemade costume for boys entered our 2014 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Nancy, the 'Holmes & Watson' costume creator:
My older son (Ethan, age 6 at the time) watched a little cartoon about Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson and he got my younger son (Oliver, age 2 at the time) excited about being the two detectives for Halloween. I searched everywhere for the right suits, coats etc, but the cape proved to be the hardest. I made the cape myself out of a sheet...because I just couldn't find the right material. The boys had a lot of fun with the costumes and I love costumes where we can re-use the stuff all year (suits, shoes etc...)my youngest still likes to wear his bowler hat around. :)
