A word from Jackie, the 'Lego Family' costume creator:
Unikitty= Lily, my daughter.
Batman= Bart, my husband.
Wyldestyle= Jackie, me!
Lily wanted to be Unikitty for Halloween so away we went. Lily's head was easy, just found a box that fit, painted it, cut off front and moved it down so she could see and Velcro it on so she could remove it if needed. Next I got appliance boxes and cut them out in correct sizes. The Lego heads were harder. I failed at many different kids but found a 4' by 8' Styrofoam sheet. It cost about $20. I used it for both Lego heads by cutting rings and placing them on top of each other with hot glue. I shaped them with cheese grater and then paper macheed them. I painted them and placed poster board inside as the faces. I spray painted the appliance boxes which was approximately $3 a can ( I used two). Then I painted details with acrylic pain that I had.
