A word from Jaime, the 'Let's Get Creative' costume creator:
There's a few videos on YouTube entitled "don't hug me I'm scared" which evoked a very large and positive response in the online community in recent years. I had always admired the amazing costumes they used in those videos and decided to recreate one of the characters in those videos uncommonly known as harry. This costume took me five months to make in my spare time on weekends and after school. I paper machéd an inflated ballon with some glue and some red paper, waited for it to dry, then deflated the ballon so that all that was left was the paper machéd shell and cut a hole as big as my face like a helmet. Afterwards, I individually attached strands of yarn about shoulder lenghth with a hot glue gun untill i couldnt see the paper which was the longest part of the process. When it appeared that I had a full head of "hair" (around three 45g balls of yarn)I attached ping pong balls to the top of my head to look like eyes and shapied black dots on them. Then I bought a red turtleneck, sweatpants, and gloves. Overall the costume was very successful and received a great response and it was the perfect costume for a perfect Halloween!!
