Live Action Maleficent Costume

I wanted to make this as soon as I saw the previews for the film. I altered a dress pattern I had and used some silk I found in the discount fabric bin at a local shop that happened to be in a decent color. I made the epaulets and the feather trim from some leather scraps I had from other craft projects, and pieced together the belt from braided belts from the thrift store. The wings are made from foam floor underlayment and wire, spray painted. I did buy the horns but was very proud of the makeup job I was able to do with "nose wax" for the cheekbones. I love halloween and always make my own costume. But was very happy to be able to make one this year with a brand new baby.
