This homemade costume for men entered our 2015 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Roy, the 'Groot' costume creator:
I have wanted to do some sort of creature for years. So this year I found out about groot and studied about him.
Roamed ideas online then started without a clue how it would turn out..
Started with the head,Then built a mannequin my size. Dressed it with a base to work off of. Had to sew a zipper in the back so I could get in an out of it.
So,lots of time and glue and foam. later! I had no clue how it would turn out,which I think turned out great. People are still talking about this costume I made from scratch. I even made the stilks.. I have about $200 in costume. And I used a lot of materials I already had.
