This homemade costume for men entered our 2015 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from David, the 'Jack Skellington' costume creator:
the inspiration for this costume was of course "the nightmare before x-mas" movie. jack has a styrofoam head built in layers then carved out for a bicycle helmet and wrapped in duct tape. the jacket and pants were hand sewn by myself (not a seamstress) Perched atop 18" stilts with articulating hands made from pvc pipe. total production time, close to 3 weeks. weight of head 4lbs, 6lbs for mardi-gras
