Medusa Costume

I saw the dress in a thrift store & got the idea because of the color, so I went with it. I painted my entire body with colored hairspray over fish net hose to make the scales. Opposite colored paint on claws. I bought a bag of toy snakes & painted them different colors. I used hot glue to attach some larger ones to clips. I used hot glue & glued snakes to my ears for earrings. I made my hair curly, sprayed it red & attached the snakes with rubber bands & bobby pins. I got a wooden toy snake that slithered & made a rattling sound as i walked for $2 & attached it to my leg with a garter belt for the tail. My boyfriend was Perseus. We used fabric to tie his flip flops, a toy sword. A ladies dress under his chest piece with different shades of makeup to make him look dirty. We went several places & glad a good time. We wanted to spend our first Halloween together in style & that we did.
