This homemade costume for girls entered our 2016 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Kathy, the 'Doll on a Swing' costume creator:
My daughter Addison sitting on a swing built to attach to her wheelchair.
The idea came to me how it would be nice to have her chair blend in as a swing and look like it is hanging like a porch swing.
I used two bundles of fence stakes and painted them white and secured them with Gorilla wood glue. Hooks were attached on the sides and also small screw eyes to attach the chains on each side for the hanging look.
2 small pvc piping ziptied together and secured behind the headrest and decorated with ivy and flowers to cover the chain wrapped around to hang.
