This homemade costume for pets entered our 2016 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Lynn, the 'Down on the Farm' costume creator:
Rosebud 6yrs old,(A Rat terrier mix,rescue)is a Cow. Her costume is homemade from 2yards of black and white cow print material lined with felt to give it weight to hang correctly. It has 4 separate sewn together pieces. Hood,chest plate,body and utters. Everything is connected together by Velcro strips for quick on and off ease. Her ears are made with self stick black bandaging over a coat hanger bent to shape and sewn into the hood. Utters are made from stiff felt and peach colored material glued together. Total cost was $24
Maxwell 5yrs.old (A purebred Dachshund rescue) is a Sheep. His costume is made from 1yard of faux sheep's wool material. There are 2 pieces to it. A roll that goes around his belly area for fullness. It's held together with Velcro, And the top that was sewn as a one piece to go over his head and down his backside to hide his tail. Total cost $15
