This homemade costume for girls entered our 2016 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Tamantha, the 'Garnet' costume creator:
My 9 y.o niece Araceli loves watching steven universe, (I as well) and she wanted to be a gem. Garnet was who she fell in love with, and that was the beginning of the journey of recreating this character. I am so proud of the turn out. I hope she wins, as this was all her idea!
Materials: 2 star stickers, 1 garnet trunk star sticker, 1 leotard (black) from amazon, 1 pair of two toned tights (red and black) from amazon, Iron man gloves from target, scissors, glue, safety pins, wig from amazon, and shades from amazon.
Instructions:
Step 1: Try on leotard and cut out right leg.
Step 2: Remove leotard apply two toned tights then put leotard back on.
Step 3: Peel, glue and stick yellow star stickers to back of iron man gloves.
Step 4: Apply wig, glasses and gloves.
Step 5:Safety pin Garnets trunk logo sticker to leotard "very carefully"
