Voodoo Doll Costume

This is costume being worn by my then twelve year old daughter. The main costume is made from a large burlap sack made into a dress. Used red felt to creat patches around the costume as well as a red felt heart. Hair needles and hand held needles made from different size wood dowels sharpened with an electronic pencil sharpener painted metallic silver and red foam balls painted red. Voodoo doll made from sewing doll painted two shades of brown topped off with red felt patches and one black button to use as an eye. Used silver painted lollipop sticks and small red balls as needles put into voodoo doll. Finished it with twine tied around neck and bloody burlap sack as a candy bag. Makeup done using twine, paper towel, latex and scotch tape. Makeup painted brown to match smaller voodoo doll. Stitching placed around neck, mouth and eyes.
