Suicide Squad Steampunk Harley-Quinn Costume

We saw Suicide Squad the movie. My daughter wanted to be Harley-Quinn but we knew everyone would be dressing up as Harley Quinn so she came up with the idea to be Suicide Squad Harley-Quinn Steam Punk Version.

She bought blue and red fabric and sewed the skirt. She used several old dresses and cut them apart to make the white ruffle skirt in the back. We bought some brown boots at the resale store. She also bought faux leather and made the corset. We got red and blue ribbon for the ties of the corset. For the goggles she used foam circles and hot glued plastic for the lenses. She also painted them with a bronze paint. For the hat she made it out of cardboard and put the faux leather on top. She also glued gears she found and painted and put on the hat. Here hair and makeup were airbrushed on.

Everyone loved the costume and the creativity of it. They were also very impressed she did almost all of the costume herself.

I think she should win because she worked very hard on her costume and put in about 40 hours sewing and painting. She is 12 and I am very proud of what she created and would love to see her earn something for all of her hard work.
