Swarm of Butterflies Costume

Everything but the wings are homemade. than i took a separate pair of wings and used them to make my dress.I first made the tutu with two shades of blue and black, than i took a tank top and corset the front with blue ribbon and than i cut the butterfly wings in half and glued on to the tank top.(i took pictures with just the tank top and than with the wings added. for the butterflies i took hair combs and floral wire and glued butteries to wire and than wrapped wire around the hair comb. the glasses were plain black and i put different shades of glitter on them. for my shoes i just glued butterflies on them. in one of the pictures am using my boyfriend as a accessory his is a butterfly catcher! i used over 200 butterflies for my costume. I was inspired by a photo of a model on pinterest.. i just took the butterfly headpiece and added my own twist! It was ab out $50 in cost to make. We had a fabulous night! people were stopping us all night because no one had ever seen anything like it!
