A word from Andrea, the 'When Hell Freezes Over' costume creator:
I, myself, am wearing the costume. I saw a headpiece online with horns and wanted to create one similar. It was all white and thats when I came up withe the name "When Hell Freezes Over". Its one that I have never seen done before and couldnt find any pictures online to compare to so I was ready for the challenge. The headpiece was made by casting my head in Plaster cloth and molded with Fiberglass cloth and resin to form a helmet shape to fit my head so it wouldnt fall off. From there it was covered in craft foam for comfort. I attached horns with hot glue and added a multitude of foral items from the craft store that I had painted white and off white. I also added some feathers and icicles made from hot glue to the horns. The staff was made from a twisted tree I found in the woods. The top portion was made by molding clay around wire and a solar LED garden light (globe removed) It was a little too fragile so I coated that in fiberglass resin for strength. I drilled a hole in staff base for the garden light base to fit into so the batteries can be changed when needed. I painted the staff and added fake snow and hot glue icicles alone with a plastic globe and styrofoam owl on top. the cloak was made of suede and faux fur with christmas icicles hot glued to the shoulders for the frozen look. the cloak clasp is a strand of faux quarts crystals from the craft store. More icicles lined the back of the cloak at the bottom of the fur.
