A word from Chanice, the 'Zoroark' costume creator:
Hello! My name is Chanice and my costume is of a Pokemon called Zoroark. I started working on it after I graduated high school this year over summer vacation (Glastonbury High School '16!!!). I make Pokemon costumes a lot, and I chose him to make a costume of because he is certainly one of my favorites. From start to finish, he's taken me about three months to make. He's all hand and machine sown, complete with fiberfill stuffing on the legs and some in his hair. His hair is a bit of a strain on the neck, so I minimized the amount of stuffing in it by making a bit of a "cage" inside with plastic mesh to keep a round shape. His claws are made of styrofoam to allow for some solidity and his head, arms, and feet are made of green petroleum-based foam. His little bead is made of styrofoam that I formed into a ball and coated repeatedly with a sealant and light blue paint. His eyes are also made to follow you around the room, too! This took maybe around 300 hot glue sticks and a couple of miles of thread, but it certainly was worth it in the end! He maybe cost around $200ish to fully make.
