Boy with a Jet Pack Costume

My son, Owen, researches different ideas for Halloween each year and this is what he decided on after some online searches. The flames are made from ribbon, cut to appear more like flames. The jet pack is made from tag board from Walmart and spray painted with silver glitter, cut and glued into cylinders, and then embellished with odds and ends from around the house. We cut the tag board to wrap around Owen's waist to create the appearance that his legs/flames were coming out of the jet pack. The fake legs were made from wire hangers bent into legs and then we taped cotton filler around this. We had a great time trick or treating, although my son wasn't able to wear his costume during his bowling party at school!
