Jack and Sally Costume

I'm Tiffany dressed as Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas, while my boyfriend Alex is Jack. We spent the entire month of October making the costumes to and barely pulled them together in the Nick of time with an all nighter. We spent about $600 total, but Alex learned how to walk on stilts for the first time. He practiced every day for a month. I learned how to sew considering we had to modify a Jack Skellington costume with a jacket that had the folded in front and jacket flare on the back. I took on my role of Sally and stitched pants that would fit over stilts. We spent every night for 30 days making the mask from a balloon, paper made, model magic, flex seal, and paint. We also built the Jack tie from a hand modeled clay cat, and hand painted fabric over a custom cut foam board. Then came time to modify Sallys dress. But her longest part was the makeup. After 3 hours of body painting and stitching detail I came to life as Sally also. We have never had so much fun from making our costumes to taking photos with many people when we finally made Jack and Sally come to life.
