Lady Illusion Costume

My lovely sister is wearing this costume I did. Her back story basically was she was hurt during her act and had to disguise herself to bring in spectators. Her name is Lady Illusion. All the clothing I bought from a thrift shop and decorated myself. The mask was an eBay buy. I used modeling wax to block off her face. Then used a flat sculpting tool to blend the wax out and rip up the inside edges to get a peeling skin affect. Vaseline to blend the outside edges smooth. White paint by Wolf for the face. I used staples and laytex on the face to look as if it was attached. I used several different colored gems from a craft store and applied those with eye lash glue. For the hands I used mephron paint and applied a heavy amount of red glitter. For the neck piece I used gelatine. Mix equal parts gelatine, glycerine and water together. Heat in 5 second increments until it is a smooth liquid. Add a small amount of whatever paint color desired. It will be very hot. Once it cooled I ran it down my own neck and let dry. Peeled it up once dry and re attached on my sister with liquid laytex. For the triangle above the eye I used 3rd degree silicone mix. Use equal parts of A and B. I added a light foundation to give a skin tone. Cover eyebrow with glue stick to keep laytex from sticking to it. I then used white eyeliner to draw the shape and size on my own eye. Used vasoline to blend edges. Once dry peeled off myself and put on my sister with liquid laytex. Added small amount of cotton ball with liquid laytex to the inside to give a more flesh look. Painted with red paint and added small amouts of stage clot blood. Added more stage blood around the inside and outside of the "real face" and at the ends of each staple. Total cost approximately $150.00.
