This homemade costume for families entered our 2017 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Ari, the 'The Shining Family' costume creator:
My wife and I have always loved classic horror movies. This year, I asked if we could dress up as Torrance family and the Grady twins from the Shining, and my amazing wife begrudgingly agreed.
Our five-year-old twins dressed up as the Grady sisters, and our four-year-old daughter got to be Danny. All of our costumes were sourced through a combination of eBay and Etsy, with the exception of my wig, which I got from John Blake wigs.
To keep things family-friendly, we simply told the girls that we were dressing up as a "famous family that had been in the movies."
