DIY Coral Reef Costume

My daughter wanted to be a coral reef but also wanted it to be comfortable enough to trick or treat in. We made the frame out of a flexible plastic tubing for the top and bottom rim and chicken wire then zip tied pieces of installation foam spray painted in fluorescent colors and anemones made out of pipe cleaners. the inside was lined with a soft black cloth and suspenders made from and old bag strap. We filled in the gaps with stuffed sea creatures she collected over the years. For a glowing effect at night we attached blue fairy lights so we could find her easily.
