A word from Mary, the 'Big Bad Wolf' costume creator:
This is Mr. Kessler D. Quist, my take on a cartoony big bad wolf. Inside the costume is myself. The idea came from 80's werewolf films, hence the names "Kessler" and "Quist", as well as old cartoons. I also thought it would be fun to run around as a big bad wolf on Halloween.
He is completely handmade. His head was constructed from upholstry foam, (and lots of hot glue) then covered in faux fur. His eyes are painted plastic with screen for pupils where I see out of. The teeth are Sculpey brand clay, as is his nose. The body is a jumpsuit-type pattern, with some foam padding in the thighs, chest, and ankles for effect. The feet and hand-paws are also made from foam - the feet built on shoes while the hands are built on fabric gloves. The claws are made from Sculpey-clay. The paw-pads are fake leather. The tail is attached by a belt.
Overall I would price the materials at around 200-250$ and time invested at around a month.
