Hellboy Costume

My name is Sarah Mosseller and I'm an avid costume maker. I love to push myself each year to be more intricate than the last.

This year I decided to be Hellboy. It's a costume that requires a complete transformation!

This costume was almost completely home made.

I built an articulating right hand of doom — it can pick up and hold drinks, the fingers moved individually, etc.

I sculpted, cast, and made silicone prosthetics for the face. I cut and styled a wig to match Ron Perlman's signature look.

I created a homemade muscle suit using foam, lycra, and fabric paint.

I created an articulating tail.

The costume was met to rave reviews. And yes, I did scare a lot of children.
