Immortan Joe Costume

I am wearing my home made Immortan Joe costume, after the character from Mad Max: Fury Road. I built the entire thing myself, using odds and ends from around the house, an inexpensive paint respirator & tubing i bought online, and a lot of creativity. I used the respirator as a base to build the mask, making teeth with clay and attaching them to pieces of a plastic skeleton i cut apart. The breathing bellows on my back are made from a paper lantern ball, folded, sewn and painted yellow. The plastic armor was cut from old vinyl bags used to store fabrics and comforters, and edged with fiber tape. The belt and holsters were made from an old leather purse. The clothing/ bandages underneath were made from old white sheets (hand dyed yellowish) and a cheap pair of yoga harem pants bought online. In total, i probably spent about $30 on the parts and tools (like clay, tape, paint and glue) but all of the details were made or altered by me from things around the house. I spent about two weeks, a couple hours per day, making the costume. I am very proud of how it turned out, and i hope you like it!
