A word from Cj, the 'The Bride of Frankenstein' costume creator:
So i love this movie!! I took a red curly wig (because the actress in the movie was a red head but the film is in black and white) and i brushed it till it was very frizzy upside down and held it upside down and sprayed a ton of aquanet hairspray, let it dry and did it over and over till it was stiff. Then i found two add on clips of white synthetic hair from sallies beauty supply and clipped them in and used my fingers to do a wave pattern and sprayed them with tons of aquanet to keep them adhered to the wig. When putting the wig on you wear it upside down so it stand up frizzy. I also teased it a lot before spraying it to make it as big and frizzy as possible. The costume is simple. I too stretchy wide gauze fabric and wrapped it around my body like a short tube dress and used large safety pins down one side to keep it from unraveling...alot of them. Then i wrapped extra gauze around and let it drape. I bought white semi sheer hose and some platform shoes i found at good will. I took a sheet and cut a whole in the middle and cut wholes for my arms to go through and let it drag the floor. I also got some fake lilies and put fake blood on them. I wore the costume like this then took the sheet of for a more slutty bride look. The Makeup was again a youtube tutorial and i bought white Ben Nye makeup and a lot of black liquid eyeliner for the neck scar line and used purples and pinks for the eyes and cheekbones. This costume cost about 50.00 bucks. I won 3rd place!
