This homemade costume for adults entered our 2014 Halloween Costume Contest.

Costume:
High quality black velvet hooded cape with silk wine color lining purchased from ebay = $35.00
White female plastic mask purchased from ebay = $6.00
White gloves purchased from ebay = $8.00
Items I already had:
Black ski mask
Black turtleneck
Black pants
Black half boots to give me additional height
I wore this costume handing out candy for trick or treaters. This costume was very effective in scaring everyone from adults to kids.
