This homemade costume for babies entered our 2016 Halloween Costume Contest,
A word from Jesse, the 'Baby Velociraptor' costume creator:
Our son often sounds like a velociraptor when he screams, and since Jurassic World was by far the best movie of 2016 it just made sense.
The materials were: foam board, aluminum conduit, drip line hose, wood, spray paint, hot glue, stroller wheels, vinyl. I glued several layers of the foam board together and carved the raptor using a saw, sandpaper and dremel. I built the cage with a wood frame using drip line hose for the straight bars and conduit for the bent broken ones. Stroller wheels, vinyl stickers and spray paint completed it. Probably took around 12 hours total.
Everybody loves it and says how cute or awesome it is. Lots of people say its the coolest costume they've ever seen and grown men have expressed jealousy. Tons of people have taken pictures of it saying it's the best costume they have ever seen.
