This homemade costume for babies entered our 2012 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Christina, the 'Gnomeo and Juliet' costume creator:
These are my twin 18-month-olds, Nile and Wynne as Gnomeo and Juliet! My kids all love this movie so it was the perfect choice for the twins. I made both costumes out of upcycled clothing from Goodwill and Juliet's skirt is an upcycled pillowcase from Goodwill and a sash I found at home (sewn by me). The hats were sewn from cheap fabric remnants I found at WalMart for $1.50 -- Gnomeo's vest was a shirt from Goodwill that I cut sleeves off of and hemmed, and added a felt belt that I cut out and used heat bond to apply. We also had artificial roses and a pink flamingo in the wagon, but my little lady is sitting on them! Juliet had little black patent leather shoes (we had already) and Gnomeo wore his own khaki pants and black shoes. They were a big hit in our neighborhood!
