Goldfish Costume

I made this costume for my 2 year old daughter and I got the idea because she looks like a little fishy when she puckers up her lips to give me kisses, its very cute and she has this really pretty red hair that the costume would complement. I made her mask out of paper mache using a balloon to form the shape just like you would with a homemade pinata, then painted it and added some silver glitter for scales and a cute coral colored bow, then blew up a tiny balloon painted it orange and wrapping wire around the end I shaped it into two puckered lips I pushed the wire through a tiny hole in the mask and then glued a soft piece of felt to the inside of the mask for my baby's comfort and to secure the lips wire. The tummy scales I used by flattening alluminum silver cupcake holders and painting the white insides of the alluminun liners orange then alternating colors as I sewed them by hand onto an orange shirt that I made her. I also made the skirt and took long strips of toulling to tie to the back or her arms above her elbows and one on her head hanging down and two more on her waist pointing off to the side to mimic the long flowing tales and fins of the pretty goldfishes that have the long fins. It was a lot of fun to make and nothing beats how much fun she has in it and how adorable my little fishy looks. Thanks!
