Oompa Loompa Costume

This year my 18 month old was an oompa loompa!! We got allot of great compliments! The costume is home made. I mix and match ideas I found. The shirt is a turtleneck ($3.00shirt, $1.00felt), I sew white felt on the next and arms. The bottoms are baseball pants($2.50 at Goodwill). I sew black buttons(.98ea)to the front of the pants. I also sew girl leggings, the ends($2.97)to the pants. Since they stretch it was easy to put on my son. He is also wearing pantyhose($2.97) under the pants. I took the pantyhose and place stripes of duck tape then I spray painted the pantyhose. Once dried I removed the tape and I was left with stripes. Not straight but I worked. The shoes($5.00)they are plain slip on shoes that I also spray painted. I used crazy glue to glue on the little candy balls made of paper towel shaped into a ball then glued on straws brown and white. Very fun and easy to make. Final touches orange paint for face, white paint for eyebrows and we used the color spray for the hair, green.
