Paint It Black Costume

My daughter Neilly wore the costume designed after the first line in The Rolling Stones song Paint It Black. She was 14 months, I needed a costume I could design that would work w a stroller. I used an old kitchen cabinet door that was purchased at the local restore shop. It was painted w craft paints from Walmart and a small craft roller that was hot glued on. The stroller was a used umbrella stroller spray painted black (took a few coats). The door was attached w some 1/2 in pipe that I bent and painted and some fasteners also from the hardware store. I used hook like hangers to hang the door on the stroller so I could easily remove it if I needed too. Because the stroller is black I put some red reflective tape on it so it could be easily seen at night. We live in Michigan where late October is generally cold, I made a black and red fleece blanket (no sew) and added a Rolling Stones patch to the corner. I dressed my daughter in all black and she was comfortable all night. Total cost was less than $30.00
