A word from Sherrie, the 'Pirate aboard his own Ship' costume creator:

This is my grandson! My daughter asked if I could make his wagon into a ship. I had no clue. I took large Lowes boxes and opened them flat on the floor and glued them together and painted them brown. I put them on the living room floor and stared at them for a few days. I searched for pirate ships on line to get a few ideas. Each day I did something to it or made things to go on it. I've never made something like this before. The only things I purchased were glue sticks and rope. I had everything in my garage or around the house. The cannon was made from old Kahlua bottles painted ball pit balls. The portholes are small paper painted and decorated and the cannon holes are solo cups
