Squirrel Boy Costume

This is Garrison Dempsey, 16 months old. Garrison loves watching the squirrels run around outside, and makes a munching sound as if he was eating an acorn. We could not find the perfect material for a squirrel, so we thought we would have to go with something different such as a Monkey or elephant (his 2 other favorite animals). Two days before our Trunk or Treat, we went to Wal*Mart to get items for his other costume, and we saw the PERFECT fluffy squirrel material. We figured we would try it out, if not we had a backup costume. We stayed up all night trying to make our own pattern for the squirrel, and it ended up working pretty well. It was a huge hit everywhere we went, starting with the Trunk or Treat, then to the Pittsburgh Zoo's ZooBoo, a Halloween parade, Trick-or-Treating twice, and Idlewild's Hallowboo in Ligonier, PA. Once Garrison got into his costume he acted true to his character, and was a bit nutty, but had an absolute Blast!! We dressed in our camo to match the outdoorsy theme.
