Bumblebee Transformer Costume

My 4-year-old son wanted to be a Transformer for Halloween this year. From a local consignment shop, I found the Bumblebee bodysuit for $3. He was happy with it but knowing my kid who loves that his Transformer toys turn from robot to vehicle I knew he'd really go bananas for a costume that did the same. I started hoarding cardboard boxes (free), picked up some extra duct tape (about $6 worth) and about $8 of bright yellow paint and just kept trying and re-trying until the thing worked! Then painted it all and photoshopped some decals/printed them out. I also used some tap lights that I had on hand from a previous project and popped those behind cutouts. Overall, the whole thing only ended up costing around $20 and oodles of trial and error plus hand cramps from cutting cardboard. My kiddo is in heaven and LOVES to transform for people! I wish I could add video of him transforming because it's fun to watch! :)
